Wedding Day Reminisce

Today is one of my best friend’s birthday, and is almost her 4th Wedding Anniversary.

Stacey and I both got married back in 2015, and her Wedding day is certainly a day I will never forget. It was my first ever experience of being a bridesmaid, and as well as being one of her bridesmaids, I was also the Wedding planner. I’d like to say it was both my first and last ever experience of doing both, but I still have a few close friends who are yet to tie the know, so who knows!

The day was a busy one, with a 1pm Church ceremony and bridal prep started around 8am. We got ready at the beautiful La Cala Resort, and at around 12:30 I waved off the limousine with the other bridesmaids and the cava, to board the bus with the other guests and make sure the driver knew where he was going!

On arrival to Santo Domingo Church it was all go, calling to the driver to make sure my friend and her father had departed, getting the over 100 guests inside the church and of course making sure groom Lawrence was in place and not too nervous himself. This was also in the days of priest Don Antonio who needed plenty of support in preparing for the ceremony too.

Minutes later and the classic convertible pulled in to the church square, it was a sight for sore eyes, and along with the other maids and couple of passerbys I’m one of the only people lucky enough to have seen it. The beautiful bride had arrived in a gown fit for a princess.

The day went ahead without a hitch, and it’s a day I will never forget. I am so very thankful to have been a part of the day in more ways than one. – As your bridesmaid and wedding planner, I wish a very Happy Birthday to you!
